Play Day!

Dominic came to our house for the whole day today. Alex was in heaven! Dominic loved it, too. They spent most of the day in the back yard swimming, playing in the sprinkler, sandbox and torturing each other. ;)

WOW! Alex was really getting some air! They wouldn't slide down from the top of the slide, but they would climb up it a little ways and either jump or slide down.

Dominic's turn. Their diapers quickly got water-logged and had to be removed. I later put on swim diapers, but they enjoyed being "free" for a little while. Don't worry, I censured the pictures very carefully.

Dominic is an expert at doing butt-bombs. It looks painful, but he does them over and over.

They loved the sprinkler as well, especially crawling through the tunnel of water.

Lunch outside is always a treat--especially mac & cheese and hot dogs.

And then Alex found a really big worm in the grass. It was dead when he found it, I promise.

Hmmm....time to torture Dominic. I'll just place it on his shoulder and see if he notices...

Dominic was not thrilled with the idea... I have to admit this picture is hilarious!

In all fairness, Alex put it on his own shoulder next. The worm also made an excursion on his baby (my tummy) and my own shoulder. It was a pretty adventuresome worm for being dead.

Then it was nap time. Dom slept in Alex's bed. He talked to himself for about 20 or 30 minutes before he fell asleep.

Alex slept in mine and Paul's bed. It only took him about 30 to 40 minutes to get to sleep, there was so much to play with. I only had to go in about 4 times and put him back in bed. He was having way too much fun!

It was a fun day for all of us. The boys kept me entertained in any case. We hope Dom can come back soon! Alex keeps asking me, "Where's Ga-ga?" (he calls Dom Ga-Ga).
