Elder Ford

Daniel had a photo shoot a few days before he left for the MTC.
Molly took these awesome pictures using Uncle Randy's nice camera.

Flying off to Utah to spend three weeks in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) and then he will fly to San Fernando, California (I assume).

Did I forget anything? Yes, he left his nice belt at home...LOL. Mom said she would mail it. We will be surprised if he makes it with all of his stuff to his mission area. :)

"Yes! I have my I.D."

Did I mention that we had to get up at 4:15AM so we could make it to the airport to see him off? Alex thought it was pretty cool, then he fell asleep on the way home and I laid him in his bed and he slept for three hours! So, I got a two-hour nap! Yippee! Poor Paul and Dad had to go to work. My dad said it was taking him 30 minutes to do tasks that normally take 10 minutes.
The early risers were Dan, Rochelle and my family, of course, plus Randy, Pat, and Molly.

Good-bye! We love you!

Austin's Blessing

Austin was blessed by his dad on Sunday, November 14, 2008.
Paul, Me (Robyn), Austin, & Alex.
Alex has his angry eyes on.

Alex is now laughing because I am trying to bribe him with fruit snacks. :)

Sleepy "baby Austy" as Alex calls him.

Group Shot

Back Row: Sage, Greg, Randy, Daniel, Dan (Pop-pop), Heather, Morgan

Middle Row: Rochelle (Zi-zi), Miranda, Paul, Austin, Robyn, Alex, Megan, Scarlet, Dominic, Molly, John.

Front Row: Sabrina, Justin.
Make a funny face!

Alas! He didn't get the fruit snacks! Poor tired boy!
If you couldn't tell from earlier shots, Alex was pretty angry about being photographed. But, I did a good job holding him in place! I've had to do that a lot lately. :)

In his defence, this was the THIRD sacrament meeting he attended this day! Our friends were blessing their baby in yet another ward at 10AM that morning. We of course didn't stay for the whole meeting for the first two, but we did stay for Daniel's talk. But, we were nice, we only made Alex and Dominic sit through the passing of the sacrament and then Molly and I took them to the Mother's room to play with toys while we listened to the talks.
On a side note, aside from being generally LOUD in a very quiet Singles Ward meeting, as we were trying to get the boys out of the meeting hall Alex ran ahead and started turning off the lights! Ack! In retrospect, it was all very funny, like a silent movie. *sigh* little boys! And, I have two of them!

Man of the hour! Austin didn't cry at all when he was being blessed. I think he was sleeping. My mom made the blessing outfit. I think it turned out fantastic! Thanks Mom!

We had a WIC appointment today and Austin was weighed and measured. At seven weeks old he is 10lbs 15 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. Lookin' good little man!
For the record, Alex is now 33lbs and 37 inches tall.

Austin was blessed in our ward at 1:00pm and then we headed over to another church building and attended Elder Daniel's farewell talk. It was quite entertaining and showed what a great missionarty he is going to be! After this, we headed over to Heather's house for an open house and ate lots of yummy food.
(Thanks Mom for sending me pics!)

Five Weeks Old!

Here is our adorable new adition at five weeks old! And, the big brother who is 2 1/2!
Alex absolutly LOVES "baby Austy" as he calls him. The other day Sari asked Alex if she could keep his baby. Alex scowled at her and pointed at Gracie and said, "dat baby yours."
He loves to snuggle with Austin which sometimes gets a little rough, but he means well.

Can anyone say, "Deer in the headlights!"?

Sleeping with his eyes open is a favorite pastime.

The other night I was sitting on the floor in the living room watching TV. Austin was laying on the floor directly in front of me waving his arms and kicking his legs happily. Suddenly, he started screaming (like he does when Alex accidently kicks him or sits on him, except that Alex was in bed and no one had even touched Austin). I was trying to soothe him but he wouldn't calm down. I was thinking it was a big gas bubble or something. Then I realized his fist was clamped down on a handful of hair on his head. The more he screamed the harder he pulled! LOL! It was very difficult to extract his sticky little fingers from his super-soft hair, but as soon as I did he stopped screaming. Poor little fella!
(OK, I try not to laugh when my kids hurt themselves, but sometimes it is just plain funny!)

Halloween 2010

Thank you Mom for sending me these pictures! I can finally do a post! :)

We had a fantastic Halloween this year! Alex "practiced" trick-or-treating at home the whole week before the event. He would dress up, get his bag and go out the garage door and knock knock. I would open it and exclaim what a cute little dragon he was, he grin like he was the cutest dragon in the world (which he was:) and then I would prompt him to say the magic words, which came out "tik o teat." PRICELESS!

My little dragon was an expert trick-or-treater this year! He wouldn't say trick or treat until he had his bag open and ready, but he always said it and he even remembered to say thank you as he ran back to the wagon.
Alex (L) and Dominic (R) checkin out the loot at Molly's house.

Here they are in action...I think Alex is on the left and Dom is on the right. Pop-pop is the guy in the hat to the left of the boys...he was great about helping them at every door. I have my back to the camera, but I had my Ghost Buster gun all ready to capture any ghosts. :)

Alex and his vampire teeth. We went to the Church tri-ward halloween party on Saturday night and it was sweatin' hot but pretty fun for the kids!

On Halloween night we went to Molly and John's house and ate scruptious food and went trick-or-treating. (The pictures are a little out of sequence. Sorry!)

There was a jail at the tri-ward party for those that didn't dress up. They would hunt you down and lock you up if you weren't wearing a costume. You had to get your face painted to get out. We dressed up of course, but Alex wanted to play in the jail at the end of the night. So, here we are locked up...two Ghostbusters and a dragon!

Family photo! OK, so its not our best family photo ever...it definitly needs improvement. Alex was throwing a tantrum and trying desperatly to escape. I'm telling him, "We're having fun whether you like it or not!" ANd, Paul forgot to turn Austin around. But, we got our photo darn it!

Alex (R) and Dominic (L) in their trick-or-treat wagon (Thanks Gramsi for bringing it!). My mom and I found Alex's costume at a garage sale over the summer for $5 bucks! Alex has been playing with it ever since. Molly's daycare lady gave Dominic his costume and they just happened to be the same one! What a coincidence! Best of all, the boys loved their costumes!

Me and my little dragon! (Notice the rain boots! I also found those at a yard sale for $2 and Alex loves to wear them everywhere!)

Dragon in his car seat.

Paul the Ghost Buster and our littlest fella! His costume was too hot to wear at the tri-ward party so Gramsi stripped him of it.

Here is Austin the little pumkin at Molly's house. He is five weeks old! Can you believe it? Gramsi picked up the pumkin costume for 2 bucks on clearance right after we found out we were prego. Now, Molly can use it next year for her little bean!

Heather holding Austin at the tri-ward party. He is so precious!
