Handsome Cousins

Alexander & Domonic had their pictures taken together yesterday!
They both did pretty good. Alex thought the lady taking the pictures was hilarious. Domonic wasn't too sure, but he was also very tired and just wanted to take a nap. She got a couple of grins out of him though.

A: "Hey Domonic, they think we're pretty cute!"

D: "I think I'll poo out my diaper after this..."

A: "Hehe! I can't wait see the look on your mom's face."

A: "Oooh! Gramsi's hair is fun to pull! Too bad you're not up here Dom!"

NOTE: He wouldn't keep his hands out of Gramsi's hair in this shot. Every time I would get his chubby little fingers untangled he would grab on again. He was grunting and having the best time ever! It was really funny.

D: "Man, why don't they stop! I just want to take a nap."

TRUE STORY:
After the pictures we went to Red Robin and had lunch. Yum Yum! Then we went to a little shop called Jack & Jills to look for used baby stuff. Just as we were pulling into the parking lot, I heard a farty-bubbly noise coming from one of the boys' seats. I said, "Oh no, I think Alex pooed out his diaper again. He always does this!" Molly says, "Domonic hardly ever does that. I never even pack him extra outfits. In fact, I don't even think I brought baby wipes with me."
We both laugh... Then, we stop and start unloading the boys. I pull Alex out first and say, "Well, it wasn't him. Maybe it was just a big fart." Then Molly pulls Domonic out, "OH, Gross!! It soaked through the onsie and the jeans!" Luckily, I had brought baby wipes and not one, but TWO extra onsies for Alexander. So, Domonic was changed. Then Molly bought him some cute jeans at Jack & Jills and put those on him.
Skip to a few hours later:
We stop at Target to buy a booster seat for Alex. As we are taking it out of box, we hear that fateful sound again--a bubbly-fart! Gramsi was holding Domonic and it started leaking on her hand! Alex saves the day again as we use his burp cloth to cover the leakage... Then as we are checking out, Alex spits up all over Molly's arm and leg and leaves a big puddle on the floor...haha! The burp cloth has poo on it, so Gramsi had to get a target employee to clean it up. She didn't seem very amused.

Rice Cereal

Alex's first experience with Rice Cereal went over pretty well...

I think he likes it!

OK, so really, that picture was taken after his second dinner of rice cereal, and to be fair, he was really tired and had already eaten almost the whole dish.

This was actually the first time he ate it. Yes, I know he is crying again, but I hadn't even gotten the spoon in his mouth and they were definitely tears of excitement! I mean, who wouldn't be excited...4 1/2 months of a solid liquid diet...you might cry too if you were about to eat food for the first time!
As you can see, the minute I put the cereal in his mouth, he imeadiatly grabbed the spoon. He is a very feisty eater! If you don't dish it out fast enough he gets really mad and starts attacking his fists and his bib and anything else he can get a hold of.

He loves to suck on his fingers right after I give him a bite.

Here is Daddy feeding him for the first time (Alex's second time). Now, this picture ends with the first picture I showed you of Alex crying...don't worry I didn't let him scream that long, just long enough to get a really quick picture to show his future girlfriends.

Unicycling in the Woods

Once upon a time, three brave lads decided to brave the trails of Cathedral Hills on their unicycles...

There goes Paul.

And Ben...

Daniel rode off on another trail, so I didn't get any pictures of him riding.

Dan rode his mountain bike. Robyn and Alex were two of the photographers.

Rochelle was the other photographer. We walked around the trails following the boys. We had to take a shortcut to get in front of them to get these videos.

I accidentally recorded it sideways...sorry. :)

Ben was messing around and discovered that he could do a new trick!

When we were finished, the boys decided to ride their unicycles down the rode. We followed them in the cars and I got a few more shots. Paul was the only one who lasted the whole way (apparently it is not so comfortable to ride continuously if you're a guy...haha). It was probably about 1/4 to 1/2 mile ride to the main road.
This picture shows Ben and Paul way off in the distance...just an example of how long the road is.

Here they are nearing the stop sign... Ben stopped at the little road you see in front of him.

YAY! He made it!
Soar but victorious!
Here is the gang driving away...

All in a days work...

The following images demonstrate what happens when an unsuspecting parent sends their baby on an airplane ride above their head....

The first incident occurred on Saturday morning.
The best part about this whole scene was Paul yelling for help while I was laughing and running around frantically looking for the camera (not the burp cloth, haha).

Doesn't Alex look so innocent? While I was looking for the camera he spit up again on Paul's chest...needless to say, at this point Paul was really yelling for help...hahaha.

Apparently, someone didn't learn from her husbands mistake! These next shots occurred the following night...
This time it was my turn to yell for help...only it was running into my mouth, so I couldn't say much more than, "Mmmffghmm!!!" Nevertheless, I desperately said it over and over again...
Paul seemed to take a long time to find the camera...I guess i deserved it. Although I must say, I think I got the worst of it. And just for the record, Gramsi lets Alex fly above her head all of the time and she has yet to be bombed in the face...

"It's a S'Cool Musical"

Miranda and Sage went to an acting camp for two weeks. At the end, the whole camp put on a musical called "It's a S'Cool Musical" for family and friends. So, last Thursday night we (Robyn, Paul, Alexander, Rochelle, Pat, Randy, Kathy) went and saw it. It was great! Paul tried to get some pictures, but it was difficult because of the lighting and the no-flash rule.
They fit 80 kids on this stage...yes, all at the same time! This was taken before the performance.

This is Miranda...she was playing the part of a ghost, so it was hard to get her on film...haha just kidding. She is the one in the green shirt right in the middle of the picture.

Here is Sage, with a serious look on her face...

Here are a couple of the audience members, Morgan and Alexander. Alex was mesmerized by all of the colorful shirts that the actors were wearing. When the audience started clapping he looked around frantically, trying to figure out what was going on.

I am having trouble uploading the videos, so this is the best i could do. Above is one of the songs that they sang. Sage and Miranda aren't in this one. The blonde boy in the center is one of my primary kids.
Below is a very small clip of Sage (top)...and on the bottom is Miranda. All 80 kids had at least one speaking part, and we just happened to catch Miranda's.

It was a lot of fun to watch and Sage and Miranda did a great job! They are very brave!!

Camping...with a Jacuzzi?

I just had to post these camping pictures of the boys. Believe it or not, this was at the falls! Alexander and Domonic thought the water was too cold, so they ordered a Jacuzzi. It took all day, but soon the water was just the right temperature...

Here they are just chillin' and talkin' some serious business...

Domonic: "Dude. Look at your foot. It's just, like floatin' there."

Alex: "Yeah. My foot is so cool."
Domonic: "Dude. Why are they always taking pictures of us?"
Alex: "Let's just close our eyes."

Happy 4-month Birthday Alexander!

Today is Alex's 4-month birthday! To celebrate (haha), we went to the doctor for a check-up and shots! Here are the new stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 9 oz
Height: 24.5 inches
Head Circumference: 16.75 inches
The doctor's conclusion is that we have a very healthy baby boy and his mom has some great cream! haha Needless to say, he was less than amused by the shots and spent 30 minutes crying in pain a few hours after he had them. But a little Tylenol, ice and a baby swing can work wonders. I just took the pictures above and below in honor of this special day. I know it is not the most ideal shot (haha), but I do not dare wake him...its is is birthday after all.
