Dom has the hat on and is trying to climb up the tube slide with Alex right on his heels.
Dom and Alex loved the swings of course. :)
Just to mix things up, Alex decided this dinosaur thing was scary and didn't want to have anything to do with it, while Dominic (who is usually a bit more wary of scary things) didn't mind sitting on it at all. Here I am trying to force Alex to get on the thing...he won.
There was a cute little toddler play structure in its own little area. The boys absolutely loved the slides and would have played on them the whole time if it was up to them. Not that they didn't enjoy all of the other stuff, but the slides were by far the highlight of the day. Every time Alex would get to the top of the slide he would hold out his arms and count, "uh, ooh, OH!" (one, two, go!), which would then warn us before he went down, so we could catch him. Dominic on the other hand, would run to the top of the slide shrieking with laughter and immediately dive down (on his stomach most of the time) without any warning at all. He really kept us on our toes.
Ahhhhh, and the refreshing water park... Alex and Dom loved the water the squirted randomly out of these holes in the ground. Here is a cute video of them playing with it. That high-pitched shrieking is coming from Dom. :)
Here is Paul trying to convince the boys that it is really fun to run under the spraying water. Dominic wisely ran the other way....Alex eventually ran to Daddy, but it turned out to be a mistake. Paul wasn't paying attention to the big bucket behind and above him that was slowly filling with water. Right after Alex ran to him it dumped on them both. Surprise! It was really funny because no one was expecting it. And, I caught it all on tape. The pcitures didn't show it, but there were some really cool big-kid toys here--a tall spider-web-bucket-shaped-merry-go-round, a swing shaped like shallow bowl about five feet in diameter, climbing walls, and tons more. It was a really fun day!
