The Last Hurrah! Biking Down Mt. Ashland June 2009

Before our friends Dan and Heather moved across the country, we decided to take one last trip to Ashland to let the boys bike down the mountain. They all had a fun time, and no one got hurt too bad. Pictured above: (L to R) Uncle Randy, Dan Fackrell, Paul, Dan Ford.

OK, so there were a couple of crashes, but nothing too major. This is Paul's war wound. I think Randy bled a little as well, but I didn't get a picture of it.

The drive up the mountain was hard on poor Alex, because he had a little cold and the rising pressure caused him some pain in his ears. So, I stuck cheerios between his toes to entertain and distract him.
Cute chubby foot!

Alex and Daddy. Alex was ready for a nap.

Alex wanted to get in the water really bad.

Grandpa Dan stuffing his bike in the back of our car. We had to fit all four bikes on/in our car. I love our Subaru!

After dropping the guys off at the top of the mountain, Heather and I and the babies hung out at Lithia Park. We walked downtown and bought delicious, huge caramel apples! Mmmm! They were so, so good!

This is Nathan, Dan and Heather's adorable son!
We had such a fun day! We are going to miss our friends so much. They moved a couple of weeks after we did this.

And, of course, Alex and his hat obsession. He really likes bicycle helmets, because he loves to go on bike rides. It is the only time he will wear a hat for an extended period of time, and that is only because of the buckle!

And, last but not least, Paul's feet...Aren't they fantastic? :) haha. Actually, we took this picture so you could see how dirty he was from riding down the dusty mountain. Notice the sock line.
